Scene from "The Rock", starring Nicholas Cage

Goodspeed: Sorry, we got off on the wrong foot. Let's talk music. Do you like the Elton John song, "Rocket Man"?

Captain Darrow: I don't like soft ass shit!

Goodspeed: Oh, you don't, oh. Well, I was only asking because that's you. You're the rocket man.

Captain Darrow: No!

[Goodspeed fires the rocket with Darrow right in front of it. He gets shot out of the building and gets impaled on a nearby pole.]

There was this ad on TV last night for a show that's based on the Terminator movies. A dude and a chick are getting into a car and the dude goes "I call shotgun" and the chick goes "I call 9 millimeter!"

Ha! Like the gun, get it? See, SHE meant a REAL gun! Is it too soon to whisper Emmy?

I wouldn't be surprised if they wrote that stellar piece of dialogue FIRST, and then build the rest of the series around it. That's how good it was.
